Aam Aadmi Party (Punjab unit) on Tuesday appointed senior leader of the party and Sunam MLA Aman Arora as the chairman of party’s campaign committee for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. A unanimous decision to appoint Arora as chief of the committee was taken at a meeting of core committee of the Punjab unit held in Delhi.
In a statement issued from party office, Punjab Unit chief and MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann announced that a unanimous decision to give this huge responsibility to him on the strength of his long experience and political acumen was a unanimous decision. He also informed that the decision was taken at the unit’s core committee meeting held at Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and in charge of party’s Punjab affairs Manish Sisodia residence.
Expressing his gratitude to the party for reposing faith in him, Arora said that he would do his utmost best to live up to the party’s aspirations. He said that the party may not have enough public funds like the other parties had, but surely it had the aam aadmi’s affection and blessings and that the party would come out with flying colours.
